Nice book, but beware of typos and fraying ribbons
Julian Lange 4/22/2020 6:18 PM
This book contains the official Latin text of the New Testament and the Psalms, as well as a number of prayers. The good thing is that this book because of its small size allows me to take the Word of God with me wherever I go.

I appreciate that then-cardinal Ratzinger wrote the foreword. Of course, the entire book is in Latin. I also really like the alphabetical "index rerum praecipuarum de quibus et in novo testamento et in psalmis agitur", where you can look up where to find your favorite Bible story and certain points which are essential parts of the Catholic faith.

So overall, I'm really positive about this book and I do recommend it. Why do I only give it three stars out of five? There are a lot of typos in the book and that's something that really annoys me. For example, on page 45 (Mt 6:23), there is written: "tene brae" while it should be "tenebrae". This is just one example. In the creed, they make the mistake of writing "cucifixus" instead of "crucifixus". The book has two ribbons but they immediately start to fray and the only way to prevent them from fraying even more, is to make a knot near the end. A good quality ribbon should not fray.
