The books were in great condition. Shipping was incredibly fast from Rome to California. Vaticanum shipped the books in 2 business days, and then the books arrived in 2 business days. I've never experienced such fast international shipping. Vaticanium is offering a great price because I have seen the books for sale second-hand at twice the price The books themselves are important in the history of astronomy.  I am very pleased to own a copy of Tihon's critical edition and French translation of Theon's commentary and I look forward to slowly reading. The books are out-of-print, and are clearly unread because they have uncut folded pages. This would be great for a collector. I plan on reading the books, so I will be cutting the pages open myself with a paper knife. This is not something I have done before, and at first I was confused by the uncut pages,  but now I look forward to the ritual of cutting open a few pages and reading a few pages at a time.
